Christian Guide Doctrine

The Use of Subtle Strategy of Fear and Curses for the Payment of Tithe and Offering is unbiblical in the New Testament Dispensation :

The pastors that scam their church members through tithe and offering do engage the spirit of fear, negative consequences, curses and ignorance on the part of the congregation. The purpose for the engagement of the spirit of fear, negative consequences and exploiting the ignorance of the church members by these pastors in questions is to swindle every member of their congregation, whether rich or poor, of their money.

How do they use the spirit of fear? It is by creating fear and negative consequences in the minds of their church members for them to pay tithe and offering.  They create the problems with its consequences by their manipulative doctrine on tithe and offering and at the same time provide the solutions to the problems and the remedy that will remove the consequences through the same manipulative doctrine of tithe and offering. Bishop Mike Okonkwo confessed that pastors use threat of curses to force church members to pay tithe. This confession of Bishop Mike Okonkwo is confirmed and reported by Sahara reporters, March 7, 2018 ( that Bishop Mike Okonkwo confessed that Pastors use threat of curses to force church members to pay tithe.

The use of threat of curses to force Christians to pay tithe is of manipulative doctrine which is evil that will create fear for believers whereas God has not given any genuinely born Christian the spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind:.”2 Timothy  1:7  KJV “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

They come to their church members by manipulation and deception since they are very skillful on how to manipulate Scriptures that will extort money from every member of their congregation. Some pastors, most especially the prosperity gospel preachers, use teachings with testimonies that will create fear with negative consequences in the minds of the people to collect money from them through the payment of tithe and offering. But the Bible says there is no fear in love because fear has torment – 1 John 4:18 (KJV) “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love” – and our God is God of love because God Himself is love: 1 John 4:8,16 (KJV) “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

These pastors have made Christians to believe that they give in order to gain material and financial compensation with divine health from God. If they don’t, evil will happen to them or they are under a curse from God. This is a subtle strategy of creating fear in their members. And the Bible says the loving God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind: 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

This subtle strategy of theirs is perfectly working for them because they are capitalizing on the weaknesses of their church members thereby taking undue advantage of them to scam and swindle them of their hard earned money. One of these weaknesses is ignorance of the truth of what the word of God (Bible) says on tithes and offering – lack of understanding of the word of God on tithes and offering.

Furthermore, on this particular weakness of the church members, they don’t read and study their Bible with revelation knowledge and understanding through the help of the Holy Spirit who is the best teacher. Therefore, they never get revelation knowledge of the word of God, that is, “rhema”. I would love to scripturally explain RHEMA first from this source ( What is rhema in Christianity? According the source; in Christianity, rhema is used in Bible study to signify Jesus Christ’s utterances.

Some modern usage distinguishes rhema from logos in Christian theology, with rhema at times called “spoken word”, referring to the revelation received by disciples when the Holy Spirit “speaks” to them. A rhema is a verse or portion of Scripture that the Holy Spirit brings to our attention with application to any issue of life for deep understanding of the word of God. The source ( gives spiritual understanding that “It is the Holy Spirit that will reveal the absolute Truth!” The Holy Spirit can cause certain passages to stand out with significant meaning or application for our lives. You need rhema for you to have the understanding of the truth on tithes and offering.

THE WHOLE TRUTH ON TITHES AND OFFERING

The absolute truth on tithe and offering from the Bible, through the help of the Holy Spirit, reveals all that you ever wanted to know about tithing but were afraid to ask. The following questions have been agitating your mind: What does the Bible say about tithing? What is the truth on this subject? What is tithe? What is the source of tithing – where did it come from?  What is tithe meant for – the purpose of tithe? Is tithing for the New Testament saints (the genuinely born Christians)? How tithes and offering become one of the foxes of pastors that is killing and destroying Christianity in Nigeria/Africa?  All these questions are correctly answered from the Bible in my book published at Amazon titled “Money Never Paid As Tithes In The Bible Unless Redeemed: What My Pastor Has Never Told Me Concerning Money Paid As Tithes”

The word “tithe” (singular) appears fourteen times in thirteen verses of the Bible (KJV) and the word “tithes” (plural) appears twenty-four times in the twenty-one verses of the Bible (KJV).

What is TITHING? Technically, “tithes”, as used in the Scripture, are only on Agricultural produce and animals used for food. This is intensively covered in that my book mentioned above.

According to Bible dictionary for bible study and Bible Hub (, the general principle of the Jewish Talmudic interpretation of tithing was that “everything that is eaten, that is watched over, and that grows out of the earth” must be tithed (Ma`aseroth 1 1). A TITHE is observed from the field produce and livestock, poultry to a Levitical Priest as it is in the law of Moses in the old Testament in the Bible.

Tithing, which is ten percent, is in the Old Testament in the laws of Moses. Going back to the history of tithing in the secular world, the pagans started the payment of tithes to the false god before Abraham paid his tithe to God. So, tithing started with the unbelievers (the pagans).

What is tithe?  Tithe is equal to ten percent (10%) of anything you earned. That is, it is tenth part of anything – ten percent of anything you earned. Therefore, tithing is giving ten percent of something you earned. In the Bible, it is ten percent of your increase (profit) arising from the agricultural produce of the land, including your livestock, but many pastors preach it incorrectly by saying ten percent of your total income – may be to scam and swindle you of your hard-earned money. They say ten percent of your total money; may be ten percent of your paid check every Sunday of the week or paid check every month – this is wrong teaching in the light of the word of God.

In the Bible, in the Old Testament. They gave ten percent of their increase (profit) yearly (every year). Although there is nothing wrong if you decide to pay it every week or every month – it is just between you and God due to the love you have for Him. But no pastor should force you with fear and consequences of curse from God to pay your tithes grudgingly.  For correct teaching of the Bible; in the Old Testament, it was ten percent yearly.

The preaching about tithe should be at least once in a year or at most twice a year but many pastors, especially prosperity Gospel preachers, preach it all the time for the love of money in them. And in Matthew 10: 7 – 8 KJV,  our Lord Jesus Christ warned us against preaching just for money – Matthew 10:7-8 (KJV) “And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”

The doctrine of bring your money to receive blessing from God is false. Those preachers are what the Lord Jesus Christ referred to as hireling. They preach it all the time because they love money more than God. They have enthroned the god of mammon in their heart.

Tithe is just like tax citizens pay to the government. Many preachers preach tradition of what they had learned from other preachers instead of them to go to the Bible by themselves to learn what God really says about tithing. We must obey the teaching of the Bible from God directly (not the teaching of “the men of God”). Many denominations preach what is entirely different on tithing from what the Bible actually says.

The practice, known as tithing in Nigeria and Africa at large means poor people are funding the extravagant lifestyles of some of Nigeria’s richest pastors – charismatic preachers in prosperity gospel churches instead of the church using the major part of the tithes for the poor – the widows, orphans, destitute, homeless. In fact, those who are in need, etc. according to Deuteronomy 26:12 and Matthew 25: 34 – 46.

At Amazon (KDP), read for free my book (“Money Never Paid As Tithes In The Bible Unless Redeemed: What My Pastor Has Never Told Me Concerning Money Paid As Tithes”) for further knowledge on the absolute truth on doctrine of tithing (tithes) .
