“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
Propagation of the prosperity gospel has produced fake Christianity in Nigeria/Africa.
Fake Christianity is not Christianity at all!
Non-Christianity is far better than fake Christianity. In other words, unbelievers are far better than fake Christians.
Non-practicing Christians are fake Christians.
The fake Christianity has produced pastors/ministers who are the franchised dealers in the vineyard of God.
The prosperity gospel church in Africa, most especially in Nigeria is a franchise where the prosperity gospel pastors as the franchised dealers disfranchise the church members of their money through the tools of miracles, signs and wonders combined with brainwashing.
A franchise (business) is a right to sell a company’s products in a particular area using the company’s name – all the parishes of a prosperity gospel church are of the franchise in nature by their activities using the name of the denomination to sell their hot money-making products
What are these hot money-making products?
They are:
(1) Powerful and highly anointed man of God – the General Overseer of a particular denomination of any prosperity gospel mega church.
(2) Miracles, signs and wonders
(3) Fear and generational curse
(4) Enemies
They use above mentioned products to collect money from naive and gullible church members and send the collected money to the headquarters (where the office of General Overseer is situated).
The pastors in these denominations can be termed “spiritual merchants” because they have commercialized the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Name of Jesus. They manage or exploit their denominational churches in a way designed to make a profit – 1Timothy 6:5 (KJV) “……destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness…..”
These spiritual merchants (prosperity gospel pastors) according to NIV (New International Versions) and NLT (New Living Translations) of 1Timothy 6:5 “…think that godliness is a means to financial gain” and “…To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.”
All what they are practicing is fake Christianity – it is never true Christianity. The god of mammon is in charge: Matthew 6:24 KJV “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
But the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is free – Matthew 10:7–8 KJV “And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
