BETWEEN THE CHURCH CHRISTIANS AND THE KINGDOM CHRISTIANS – WHAT ARE THE MAJOR DIFFERENCES?

THERE ARE MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE CHURCH CHRISTIANS AND THE KINGDOM CHRISTIANS – What are the differences between them?  Are you are a church Christian or kingdom Christian? Are you are a church pastor or kingdom pastor? Are you preaching and practicing the gospel of the church or the gospel of the kingdom – Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the entire world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

Note! The word of God mentioned the “gospel of the kingdom” ; it does not say the gospel of the church.

What is the fundamental reason why most pastors in Nigeria/Africa are “gods of men” and not “men of God”? It is because of the powerful and strong active brainwashing that is going in the church.

Nigerian/African Christians don’t use their brains and minds in the church; they believe in all what their pastors say without reasoning it out with the Scriptures unlike Berean Christians in Acts 17:11, so these pastors become gods of men to their church members – and never the men of God to the real Christians in the kingdom of God.

They are practicing church Christianity – and never kingdom Christianity (to be later explained better in this publication).

Church Christianity will never allow you to scripturally use your brain and mind in the light of the word of God, but kingdom Christianity allows your brain and mind to be actively and scripturally used in the light of the word of God.

Nigerian Christians listen to their pastors only instead of individually reading and studying the word of God; and also listening to the Holy Spirit (the best teacher) for the interpretation, explanation and revelation knowledge of the word.

Nigerian Christians believe in their pastors more than in the gospel of the kingdom of God!!!

They lay more emphasis on buildings and church denominations (church membership) – they are developing building projects (unhealthy competition to build the largest worship centre in the world) and the fastest growing church membership instead of growing and developing the Kingdom of God on earth – they are producing church Christians instead of kingdom Christians.

In fact, they have already missed it! Most Nigerian Christians are full of denominational church activities without the biblical principles of kingdom of God’s Christianity. It is just unfortunate that Nigerian/African church is raising and building church Christians with various denominational activities \and doctrines, instead of kingdom Christians with biblical principles of the kingdom of God’s activities.

Kingdom Christian service is the best form of worship to God first, and humanity second – all in the form of charity activities.

Kingdom Christian service makes God visible to people.

Too many followers of the Lord Jesus Christ put the work of God into a box called the church with its services and programs in Nigeria and Africa at large.

God expects Nigerian/African Christians out of the box (the church) and into His Kingdom (the kingdom of God).

Genuine men of God are to lead their people beyond the church-box paradigm.

They are to grow and develop people that will mature into Kingdom people, not just church people.

They are to raise and build kingdom Christians, not the church Christians.

The gospel is good news which is all about a new reality (God’s Kingdom) through the presence of a new King (the Lord Jesus Christ).

His church (the body of Christ) is used as a tool to spread and establish the kingdom of God on the earth.

Therefore, the church and its activities are to fit into the Kingdom of God – God did not ordain any man of God to box His kingdom into the church – you cannot squeeze the Kingdom of God into the church. Why?

  • Church Christians – These have reduced ministry vision and can’t see past church-bound categories for ministry – they are workers and ministers in ushering, Sunday school, choir, mission and evangelism, visitation and follow-up, house fellowship, prayer band, technical, media and publication, welfare, drama, volunteer and protocol, sanitation, etc. Some of them will become heads of department or local parish church pastors. These people voluntarily surrender themselves to serve another man (big man called General Overseer’s vision and destiny in the operational and governance structure of a church. Their minds have been enslaved in the church activities (through the church doctrinal teaching) instead of kingdom of God’s activities (through the kingdom doctrinal teaching).

Kingdom Christians – These have Kingdom vision to think/dream/act outside the box called “church” and they will go beyond the church activities: James 1:27 (KJV) “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”  They want to heal the wounds in their neighbourhood, workplace, and community (fatherlessness, addictions, marriages, joblessness, hopelessness, etc,) – they want to touch and reach out to the rejected, poor, needy, homeless, depressed, abandoned, miscreants, etc: Matthew 25: 34 – 40 (KJV) “Then shall the King (the Lord Jesus Christ) say unto them  (the true believers) on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

  • Church Christians – These are like twelve o’clock (12 am or 12 pm) where both the short and long hands of the clock are together pointing up in upward direction only (north direction only) – they are only heavenly conscious– their understanding of the gospel is the good news that talks or speaks only about the life after death to reign with the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven. Their entire mind is fixed on how they can be sure they are going to Heaven after they die.

Kingdom Christians – These are like 6:30 am or 6:30 pm where both the short and long hands of the clock are not together- each is pointing in opposite direction – one is up while the other is down (north – south direction only). They live a pure dual life (twofold life) in Christ Jesus. The one pointing up (north direction) is about making Heaven while the other one pointing down (south direction) is all about spreading and establishing the kingdom of God on the earth. The kingdom Christians have the understanding that the gospel is the good news about the life of the kingdom of God here on the earth and the world beyond – It is about life in God and with God through the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever.

  • Church Christians– They have understanding that discipleship is first and foremost about enjoying what you can gain materially, financially and health-wise from having a closer personal relationship with God that grows and develops an individual believer (who is genuinely born again) into spiritual maturity in Christ Jesus. They are more concerned about wealth and health prosperity for themselves in the world. They are highly concerned about constructing, creating and raising church building projects, church denominations or church membership. They are proud to be members of particular church denomination.

Kingdom Christians –They have understanding that discipleship is first and foremost about having, establishing and enjoying a closer personal relationship with God that grows and develops an individual believer (who is genuinely born again) into spiritual maturity in Christ Jesus. They understand discipleship as the call to lose their lives for Christ’s sake so they can participate in His mission on the earth – they are fulfilling their destiny on earth in line with God’s plan and purpose for their lives. They are more concerned about spreading and establishing the kingdom of God on the earth – they lose their lives for the activities of the kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God on the earth is not a means or platform to a bigger church or the biggest church in the world or largest denomination (membership) on the earth; the church is a tool for spreading, establishing, demonstrating the Kingdom of God on the earth.

It (The Kingdom of God) is a tool to demonstrate that kingdom Christians are the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

This is where the Nigerian/African Church missed it and fell into error – they have allowed the spirit of error to bring in the prosperity gospel (gospel of bring your money to receive God’s blessings or gospel of money for blessings – to experience miracles, signs and wonders or doctrine of bring your money before God will bless you or heal you). The gospel of “Name it and Claim it”!

Their focus and vision is church buildings, denominations and membership which gives rise to church Christians. This has done a lot of damage to the body of Christ in Nigeria and Africa at large. This is what they have been practising for the past 40 or 50 years! But the Lord Jesus Christ laid so much stress on the notion of the kingdom of God – not church: Luke 7:28 (KJV) “For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he (any genuinely born again Christian) that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he (John the Baptist).” The Lord Jesus Christ was talking about the least Christian in the kingdom of God here in this Scripture – He did not say the least Christian in the church.

In John 3:3,5, the Lord Jesus Christ says that every genuinely born again Christian sees and enters the kingdom of God – it is not church – every true Christian must not see and enter church when they are genuinely born again; they should see the kingdom of God to become the kingdom Christians but if  you see the church (as denomination or membership or building), surely you will become a church Christian: the genuinely born again Christians see and enter the kingdom of God (not church) – John 3:3-5 (KJV)Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God……….Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

The kingdom of God is bigger than church.

The church is a tool for establishing the kingdom of God on earth.

The gospel that the Lord Jesus Christ commissioned us to preach is neither the gospel of church nor the gospel of prosperity but the gospel of the kingdom of God which is to go all over the world: Matthew 24:14  (KJV) “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

To fulfill this great commission or mandate, the kingdom Christians are needed – the kingdom Christians will grow out of the church into the kingdom of God and they will use the church as a tool to propagate and establish the kingdom of God in all the nations of the world.

The church Christians preach and practice and teach church doctrine but gospel of the kingdom of God Christians preach and practice and teach kingdom of God doctrine.

The church Christians divide the body of Christ – they never bring unity to the body of Christ but kingdom Christians unite all the members  (denominational churches all over the world) together because the  body of Christ is one – they bring unity to the body of Christ – they build the body of Christ on the foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ: 1 Corinthians  3:10-11 (KJV) “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

The kingdom Christians are a formidable force in the body of Christ against the forces of darkness.

Nigerian church Christians rejoice over miracles instead of rejoicing over their names being written in the book of life (for their personal walk and close relationship with God) and the work of winning souls for God by their deeds as kingdom Christians in the world (as the salt of the earth and the light of the world): Luke 10:20 (KJV) and Luke 15:7, 10 (KJV) “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven…. I (Jesus Christ) say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.  Likewise, I (Jesus Christ) say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”

The works/deeds of kingdom Christians win souls for the kingdom of God which cause the Heaven to rejoice. The Nigerian Christians have lost contact with the reality because they believe in prayers and fasting without hard work and dignity of labor. They believe in prayers and fasting without first having a personal walk and close relationship with God of miracles. They seek miracles, signs and wonders rather than God’s principles of how He blesses through hard work and dignity of labor.  They believe in their General Overseers / Pastors than believing in themselves and God.

To the General Overseers and their senior pastors, what are you leaving behind for the future generations?  Is it the largest building or worship center that will still be relevant in 50 or 70 years’ time or the kingdom Christians who will be the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, practicing the word of God in truth to influence humanity as salt of the earth and the light of the world?
